Mangalore: SSLC Exam Gets Under Way

Mangalore / Udupi, Apr 2: Anxiety and anticipation blended with confidence and tension filled the air as tens of thousands of students began their SSLC exams across Karnataka on Monday April 2.
The exams will go on till April 16.
Students who arrived at the exam centres earlier in the morning are now busy racking their heads over questions and running their pens across the paper in full speed.
A total of 49, 264 students from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts are writing the exams.
In Dakshina Kannada 33, 885 students will appear for the exams (17,486 boys and 16,399 girls), including 2,433 students who are repeating the exams. As many as 95 exams centres have been marked in DK (Mangalore city - 20, Mangalore rural - 25, Bantwal - 15, Puttur - 15, Moodbidri - 4, and Sullia - 16).
DDPA Moses Jayashekar, speaking to daijiworld informed that students are appearing for exams without any fear and doubt. Students have arrived on time at the centres, and there is enough security placed in the required places. Every centre has an observer from senior level like high shool headmaster, he said.
In Udupi district 15, 379 regular students and 899 private students are appearing for the exams (7458 boys and 7921 girls), at 56 centres across the district.
