M'lore: Dr K Mohandas Bhandary Nominated Co-Chairman of IMA Standing Committee

New Delhi / Mangalore, Mar 29: Dr Kailkere Mohandas Bhandary of Mangalore has been nominated by the national President of Indian Medical Association (IMA), New Delhi to serve a three year term as Co-Chairman of IMA Standing Committee for Sports Medicine.

This honour comes to him close on the heels of being elected to the Karnataka Medical Council in Non Teachers Constituency.

Sports Medicine is an important specialty concerned with physical fitness, treatment and prevention of sports injury. This specialty has a vital role to play in grooming and nurturing our sports talents and enable them to excel in sports.

Dr Kailkere Mohandas Bhandary was Founder President of Family Doctors Association (R), Mangalore and has also served as the president of IMA Mangalooru Branch. He is actively involved in a wide range of social and cultural activities.

    He deserves every bit of it.I am very happy though I came to know belatedly.He was our family doctor and has been a well wisher of our family. May God give him the strenghrrth to serve people the way he has been doing.
