Mangalore, Mar 29: The Sports and Fitness Training Federation of India (Member of SAARC Confederation for Physiotherapy) in association with Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy, here, conducted a workshop on the topic ‘An insight into hand’ on Thursday March 29 by Dr Amit Sharma, MPT, Ortho/Sports Physiotherapy convener SFTFI, Delhi.
The inaugural function for the same was held on Thursday March 29 on 9.30 am in Dr M V Shetty College Seminar Hall.
The welcome address was given by Dr Kamath Sahana Srinivas, in-charge principal of Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy. In her speech, she stated that Dr M V Shetty college of Physiotherapy is the only college to provide students with a number of workshops and seminars which helps students to increase knowledge and credibility.
The chie guest for the function was Dr Vikas Saini, principal of MJF college of Physiotherapy, Jaipur. He advised the students on the ethics of physiotherapists towards patients and to study hard to be successful in life. Also, he added, apart from being a good physiotherapist, it is also important to be a good human being.
Dr Amit Sharma, the resource person for the workshop, stated that, he is highly privileged to come and impart the knowledge to his students on Hand Rehabilitation. In his address, he mentioned the importance of the topic in the industrial set up and the importance of such workshops to spread knowledge.
Dr U T Ifthikar Ali, MPT, PhD, president of SFTFI, thanked the resource person, chief guest and student delegates and the organizing committee for making the workshop a great success.
The vote of thanks was given by Dr Mohammed Suhail, general secretary of SFTFI.
