Panaji, Mar 29 (IANS): A Goa police constable is under arrest for allegedly molesting a woman in a drunken state, police said.
Azad Ahmed, who applied for bail Thursday in Vasco, was arrested Wednesday. He is attached to the Goa Police escort cell, which ferries prisoners from jail to court.
An official said Ahmed was held after a 22-year-old woman complained that he molested her when she was with a male companion near a motel at Verna, about 20 km from here.
"He was in a drunken state when the incident happened," the official said.
