Mumbai: Former Teacher Jarappa Master Passes Away

Mumbai, Mar 16: Eighty-three-year-old Jarappa Master, father of Billawar Association treasurer Chandrahas J Kotian, passed away due to a brief illness on Wednesday March 14.



Jarappa hailed from Padubondantila in Vamanjoor, Mangalore.  He founded Phalguni Higher Primary School at Mallur in Bantwal taluk of Dakshina Kannada district and served as teacher and headmaster for 40 years.

He was also a Yakshagana artiste in his hometown.  He is survived by his wife, two sons, and three daughters.

Billawar Association honorary president Y Nagesh, president Jaya C Suvarna, vice-president L V Amin, honorary chief secretary Jyoti K Suvarna, Bharat Co-operative Bank chairman Vasudev R Kotian, entrepreneur Harish G Amin, and the Billawar community in metro condoled his demise.
