Udupi, Mar 15: Immediate past district president of Kannada Sahitya Parishat (KSP), Ambatanaya Mudrady, said that Tingale Vikramarjuna Hegde will be contesting the coming election for the post of the district president of KSP vacated by him.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday march 14, Mudrady said that under his leadership, the district KSP had organized four taluk level conferences, three district level conferences, 21 endowment lectures, and programmes aimed at creating interest among students towards Kannada literature. He said that thenumber of members of KSPhas gone up. “Tingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, in his capacity as the general secretary of the district KSP, has strived for Kannada literature relentlessly since the last three and half years,” he noted.
Tingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, Yakshagana Bayalata Academy president, M L Samaga, Bhuvanaprasad Hegde, Padmanabha Kekunnaya, and Ku Go Eshwara Chitpady were present at the press conference.
