Mumbai, Mar 14: The metro-based Billawar Association organized a condolence meet for Sujata V Kotian, Goregaon local committee youth wing convener of Billawar Association, at Billawa Bhavan, Santa Cruz (East), on Sunday March 11.
Billawar Association president Jaya C Suvarna garlanded the portrait of Sujata V Kotian who passed away recently.
Mulky town panchayat vice-president Yogesh Kotian, Suresh Kotian, Association vice-presidents L V Amin and C T Salian, Goregaon local committee president Jagannat V Kotian, honorary chief secretary Jyoti K Suvarna and women’s wing president Jayanti V Ullal were present on the dais.
Yogesh Kotian, in his condolence address, said that an orphanage will be set up in Chitrapu, Mangalore, in memory of Sujata Kotian.
Sujata’s brother-in-law said that her good deeds will ever remain in his memory as tribute to her departed soul.
Jaya Suvarna said that the large number of people attending the condolence meet shows Sujata’s persona and her good deeds. Meanwhile, he assured that Billawar Association will sponsor the studies of Sujata’s son.
J V Kotian, Goregaon local committee honorary secretary Sacchindra K Kotian, K R Poojary Kalwa, Vishwanat Tonse, Shankar D Poojary, S Poojary, Ramesh Shivapura, S T Vijaya Kumar, Bhaskar Sarapady and others offered tribute on the occasion.
State artiste Mohan Marnad, Raja V Salian, Mohan G Poojary, Varada Ullal, Petri Vishwanat Shetty, B Koosappa, Chandravati Devadiga, the office-bearers and members of Kannada Kalavidara Parishat Maharastra, Veerakesari Kalavranda, Abhinaya Mantapa Mumbai, Charkop Kannadigara Balaga, Goregaon Karnataka Sangh, Billawar Association local and co-ordinating committee, and Tulu – Kannadigas were present at the occasion.
Honorary chief secretary Jyoti K Suvarna compered the programme.
