Mangalore, Mar 11: At 23, Vanishree Bhatt is already a celebrity in the making. The gorgeous Mangalorean beauty is the winner of the prestigious Mannapuram Miss Queen of India titile, a pageant held in Kochi that saw contestants from across the country vie for the top honour.
The event was held on Friday March 9 at Le Meridien, Kochi. The grand finale saw 16 contestants from all over India, who competed for various titles such as Miss Beautiful Hair, Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Beautiful Skin, Miss Beautiful Face, Miss Beautiful Eyes, Miss Congeniality, Miss Catwalk, Miss Perfect 10, Miss Talented, Miss Photogenic and Miss Viewers Choice.
The pageant was organized by Pegasus, with Megha Bharman of Dam 999 fame, actor and model Rajeev Pillai, model and actress Niyati Joshi, producer and director Sohan Roy, fashion designer Sajimon Parayil and Kanyaka, managing editor, Thoshma Biju as judges.
Vanishree was awarded a cash prize of Rs 2 lac, while the runner-up Akhila Kishore walked away with a diamond set worth Rs 1 lac and the second runner-up Lakshmi Annand bagging Rs 50,000.

A true beauty with brains, Vanishree impressed the judges with her charm, elegance and intelligence, firing off answers to their tough questions that ranged from current affairs to politics and even going on to win the title of 'Miss Beautiful Face'.
That's not all. Vanishree is a bundle of talents - apart from being a qualified financial analyst, she is also a budding writer who is on the verge of completing her debut book, 'Like a Silver Bullet in a Monkey’s Chest', which she says, traces the journey of a young woman in the world of glamour.
"The book is almost done, but every time I open it, I try to add more layers to it and get more imaginative," she says, adding that the book gives a glimpse of what life is about.
Vanishree has already made a mark in the fashion world, walking the ramp for big names like Prasad Bidappa and Rahul Shetty.
Besides, Vanishree is a trained classical dancer, and has even tried her hand at fashion designing, creating her own gown for the final round of the pageant.
She is also a scuba-diver, who loves to go to Murdeshwar for a weekend getaway and explore the underwater.
