Bangalore, Mar 10: The 45th branch of Mumbai-based Bharat Co-operative Bank was inaugurated at I Cross, I Stage, Peenya Industrial Estate, on Friday March 9.
Billawar Association Mumbai president and Bharat Bank director Jaya C Suvarna inaugurated the branch on Friday morning.
Peenya Industrial Association president Bala Subramanyan inaugurated the banking operations. Bank chairman Vasudev R Kotian inaugurated the general services at the new branch. The Bank’s deputy chairperson lawyer Rohini J Salian inaugurated the safe deposit locker facility. Bank director Pushpalata N Salian inaugurated the computer services.
Gopalakrishna Acharya and S Shyam Acharya performed different religious celebrations at the new branch. Ravi Shankar N Karkera and Smita S Karkera were present during the religious celebrations. Speaking on the occasion, Jaya Suvarna said that the Bank has been offering banking facilities on par with nationalized banks in the country. “The Bank is making rapid strides in the midst of competition from private and nationalized banks,” said Jaya Suvarna.
Vasudev Kotian said that the Bank has the goal of opening 50 branches at the earliest. “It has been helping the ordinary customers and youth to realize their dreams to open their small enterprises,” he added.

The Bank’s deputy general managers Vivek S Shanbagh, Raghu Poojary, Suresh S Salian and Nityanand D Kotian, assistant general managers Prabhakar G Suvarna and Sunil Gujaran, managers Satish P Poojary, Sandhya Kotian, Arun Suvarna, and Sasi Bangera were also present on the occasion.
Branch manager Uday Haleyangady welcomed the gathering. Assistant manager Anil V Poojary proposed the vote of thanks.
