Kasargod: Woman 'Power' - Two Nabbed for Luring, Looting Men

Kasargod, Mar 8: The city police on Wednesday March 7 arrested two women on charges of looting youngsters by luring them to the city and then looting them through blackmail.
The police team led by town circle inspector Babu Perinjayat arrested 31-year-old B K Jazeela, a resident of Kaniyakunnu and 28-years-old Zeenat Banu, a resident of Udyavar in Manjeshwar, who were staying in a guest house located near Tacchangad Government High School here.
The police are on the lookout for three other youngsters who were accomplices of the arrested women. The women would allegedly befriend youths and invite them to the city. Once they arrive, the women would take them to a deserted area and loot them with the help of their accomplices, it is learnt
The city police arrested these two women on the basis of a complaint lodged by Shamshuddin of Chiramal in Nileshwar and Shamshuddin of Taikadappur. Both were befriended by the women and invited to the city.
On Thursday March 1, when the two men came to the city in a Santro car, the women met them and took them to a secluded area. Their accomplices who were waiting in the area pounced on the two men and robbed them of their mobile handsets and cash of Rs 2,500. They also forcibly took them to Uliatadka and demanded Rs 50,000. They then withdrew Rs 5,000 from the ATM cards of the duo and fled in their Santro car.
The police found the car abandoned in the city on Friday March 2.
