Mangalore, Mar 4: Bajrang Dal activists were once again arrested on Sunday March 4 after they tried to gatecrash into a programme at Milagres School Grounds where union corporate affairs minister Veerappa Moily was attending a programme.
It may be recalled that Bajrang Dal activists had been arrested and later released on Saturday March 3 after they attempted to gherao Moily when he landed at the Bajpe airport.
Bajrang Dal is up in arms against Moily for his comments against Bajrang Dal wherein he called them 'devils'. In an earlier protest, the group had threatened not to let Moily set foot in Mangalore again.
On Sunday, about 40-70 Bajrang Dal activists gathered near Milagres and started shouting slogans and waving black flags. When they attempted to break into the programme, they were stopped by the police and arrested.
Among the arrested are Bajrang Dal leaders Sharan Pumpwell, Jagadeesh Shenava, Harish Amtady, Shivanand Mendon and Puneeth.
