Mangalore: Berton Monteiro Secures Second Rank in Karnataka Medical PGCET

Mangalore, Mar 1: The results of the Karnataka state PGET examination conducted on January 29 were announced on Wednesday February 29 by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
Out of the 11,307 candidates who appeared for the test, outshining them all is Berton Craig Monteiro, a medical graduate from Kasturba Medical College, here.
Berton stands second in the Karnataka Medical PGCET. Also, out of the 9,702 ranks announced, he secured ninth in the Comed-K PGET for medical stream.
Berton (24), residing at Balmatta here is the son of Harold Monteiro of Health Care Medicals, Mangalore and Gladys Monteiro, banker at Karnataka Bank Ltd.
Aiming to pursue a MS in Orthopaedics at BMC (Bangalore Medical College), Berton has also given a try at the PGET Test conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
