Shimoga, Feb 18: State BJP president, K S Eshwarappa, informed that the process of expansion of Karnataka ministry and reshuffling of departments held by various ministers will be undertaken within the next 15 days. He also indicated that responsibilities of some district-in-charge ministers may undergo changes.
Speaking to media persons who had met him on Thursday February 16, he indirectly indicated that the party might opt to retain a couple of vacancies unfilled during the first phase of ministry expansion. Eshwarappa said that seniority and caste calculations will be considered while allotting ministerial berths, and that the process of appointing chairpersons to corporations and boards will also be undertaken simultaneously.
“A meeting of BJP MLAs and MPs is being convened at Bangalore on February 24 and 25 to discuss development needs of individual constituencies and also the development priority for the state as a whole for being included in the budget. There is a chance that a few national level party leaders will be participating in the discussions,” he disclosed.
