Mumbai: Women’s Wing of Charkop Kannadigara Balaga Organizes ‘Haldi Kumkum’

Mumbai, Feb 7: The women’s wing of Charkop Kannadigara Balaga organized ‘Haldi Kumkum’ religious celebrations at Kandivali (West), on Sunday February 5. Women’s wing president Shanta N Bhat led the religious celebrations.

The women members of Karnataka Sangh, South Mumbai, suburban Goregaon and Malad also participated in the celebrations.

Sunanda Bhat explained the significance of the religious celebrations during the programme. Chetna Rao, joint secretary, Borivali Kannada Sangha, rendered a devotional song in her melodious voice.

Bhat felicitated the winners of ‘Dum Dama Dum’ dance competitions conducted by ‘Sahyadri’ channel of metro’s Doordarshan, besides distributing prizes to the winners of various competitions conducted by Charkop Kannadigara Balaga such as cooking, ‘Rangoli’, and ‘Aarati’ plate decoration.  The prizes were sponsored by Nina Shetty.

Committee members of women’s wing Lata Bangera, Gowri Paniadi, Bharati Rao, Chandrika Paranjpe, Pushpa Bhat, Vijaya Kedilaya, Anuauya Hebbar, and Sunanda Samagunda assisted in the religious celebrations.
