Kasargod: Two Brothers Meet Watery Grave, Another Critical

Kasargod, Feb 6: In a tragic incident, two young boys met watery grave in Perumbala Kadavu on Chandragiri River here on Monday February 6 afternoon. Another boy, their elder brother, was rescued.
The deceased have been identified as 11-year-old Yasin, and his brother 8-year-old Mustafa, sons of Zubair and Naseera of Nayammarmule Rahim Manzil. The couple's another son, 13-year-old Firoz, was rescued and admitted to hospital. However, he is said to be critical.
Rescue operations are on to retrieve Mustafa's body. The incident took place at around 2 pm.
Naseera along with her sons and relatives Hasainar and Imtiaz had been Chandragiri river. The boys played on the river bank while Hasainar and Imtiaz got into the water to catch fish.
The tragedy occured when the boys too joined them and one of them lost his balance and fell into the water. His brothers rushed to help him, and of the three, Yasin and Mustafa were drowned while Firoz was rescued.
When Naseera, Husainar and Imtiaz raised an alarm locals rushed to the spot, and managed to save Firoz and retrieve Yasin's body after an intense search.
Local swimmers and fire brigade personnel are searching for Mustafa's body.
