Mangalore: Rahim Uchil Sworn in as New President of Beary Sahithya Academy

Mangalore, Feb 6: Rahim Uchil was sworn in as the new president of Karnataka Beary Sahithya Academy at a formal programme held at the Academy’s office located at Presidium Complex in Attavar here on Monday February 6.
After taking charge as the president of the academy Rahim Uchil said that he would take up the post with utmost responsibility and succeed in all works. He assured that no politics will be allowed to enter the works of the academy and everything pertaining to Beary community, their literature and language will be handled vigilantly. He assured nobody will be given the pain by the academy.
Outgoing president of the academy M B Abdul Rehman, state minority commission president Anwar Manippady, BJP leaders Padmanabha Kottari, Monappa Bhandary, Usman Haji, Chairman of District Wakf Advisory Committee, Kendra Beary Sahithya Parishad founder president Abdul Raheem T K, Akhila Bharatha Beary Parishad president Abdul Masjid Sooralpady among others were present on the occasion. Umarabba welcomed. T Mohammed delivered vote of thanks.
Uchil has functioned as the general secretary of BJP Dakshina Kannada district Yuva Morcha unit, member of district Wakf Advisory Committee, convener of Veerarani Abbakka Utsava Samiti, general secretary of Manava Sauharda Vedike, and is involved with a number of other organizations.
