Udupi, Feb 5: 73-year-old Nadimane B Mohan Rao, a progressive farmer, philanthropist, veteran of co-operative movement and religious leader of Belapu village passed away in Hyderabad on Sunday February 5, after a brief illness.
Mohan Rao is survived by his wife, two brothers, five sons and one daughter. He was the managing trustee of Durgaparameshwari temple, Kunjoor, president of Vishveshwar temple renovation Committee, correspondent of Durgadevi Higher Primary School, Paniyoor, and former president of Belapu gram panchayat and Belapu Co-operative Agricultural Bank.
He was the brother of Nadimane Sundar Rao, founder of Sundar Tajmahal Hotels, Hyderabad.
