Kundapur, Jan 31: Rotary Club of Koteshwar, organized a free orthodontic treatment camp in association with the Mangalore-based Dr A B Shetty Dental College, at Sharada Kalyana Mantapa, Koteshwar, on Sunday January 30. Fifty beneficiaries availed the free orthodontic treatment on the occasion.
Rotary zone 1 president Lieutenant Molahalli Ganesh Shetty inaugurated the camp on Sunday morning.
Speaking on the occasion, Lieutenant Shetty said that nearly 70,000 people had availed free dental treatment at the clinic managed by Koteshwar Rotary Club at Dabbekatte since 1998. “There are plans to upgrade the clinic with the assistance of Dr A B Shetty Dental College,” he said.
Rotary former district governor Jnanavasant Shetty said that Koteshwar Rotary Club has been involved in social welfare activities by organizing free orthodontic treatment in the neighbourhood which is a significant achievement of the Rotary Clubs across the country.
Dr A B Shetty Dental College director Dr N Sridar Shetty, principal Dr Rajendraprasad, head of department Dr Krishnaprasad, and Rotary assistant governor R Somanatan were present on the occasion.
Koteshwar Rotary Club secretary Prabhakar Kumbasi proposed the vote of thanks. Ravindra Navada compered the programme.
