Mangalore: Swami Sudhindrateerta Inaugurates Cow Shelter at SVT

Mangalore, Jan 24: The newly-built cow shelter was inaugurated at Shree Venkataramana Temple, Car Street, on Monday January 23.

Swami Sudhindrateerta of Kashi Mutt and his disciple Swami Samyameendrateerta inaugurated the shelter.

The cow shelter has four cows and two calves. The cows have been named as Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati, and Tungabhadra, while the calves were named as Tapati and Kalindi by the two Swamijis.


The temple has introduced the worship of sacred cows and those devotees who wish to avail the services are requested by temple managing trustee C L Shenoy to contact the temple office.
