SMVITM student develops 'Easy ICD-11' app to simplify medical code access

Udupi, May 2: Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, continues to make strides in industry-oriented innovation. Strengthening this commitment, Vinayachandra, a student of SMVITM, has played a pivotal role in developing Easy ICD-11, a mobile application aimed at simplifying access to the World Health Organization’s ICD-11 medical codes.

The application was developed at Alar Innovations Pvt Ltd under the guidance of Dr Sachin S Bhat.



Vinayachandra contributed extensively to both the frontend and backend, designing a scalable, user-friendly tool tailored for real-world clinical and academic use.

Easy ICD-11 offers intuitive navigation, clipboard functionality, and post-coordination support, making it a valuable reference for medical practitioners, researchers, and students.

The app was officially launched by RathnaKumar, secretary of Shri Sode Vadiraja mutt Education trust (SSVMET) and secretary of SMVITM, Prof Dr Radhakrishna S Aithal CEO of Sode educational institutions, and Dr Nagaraj Bhat, dean of academics, SMVITM, marking a proud moment for the institution and reinforcing its focus on hands-on learning and innovation.
