New Delhi, Apr 26: In a major boost to employment generation, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) distributed appointment letters to 976 fresh recruits on Saturday as part of the 15th edition of the Rozgar Mela.
The nationwide event, conducted across 47 locations, witnessed Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing the new appointees via videoconferencing. Over 51,000 appointment letters were issued across various government departments, including EPFO, underlining the government's focus on youth empowerment and nation-building.
The Labour Ministry announced that EPFO welcomed 345 Accounts Officers/Enforcement Officers and 631 Social Security Assistants through this massive recruitment drive.

“These new recruits will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient delivery of social security services to millions of subscribers across the country,” the ministry said.
Strengthening its recruitment process, EPFO has created a dedicated recruitment vertical at its headquarters and formulated a recruitment calendar in line with the directives of Union Labour and Employment Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya.
Over the past year, EPFO successfully recruited 159 Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners, 84 Junior Translation Officers, 28 Stenographers, and 2,674 Social Security Assistants, among others. Further recruitments for APFCs, EO/AOs, PAs, and ASOs are already underway.
The Rozgar Mela is part of the Prime Minister’s broader commitment to drive employment opportunities and build a future-ready workforce. EPFO highlighted its commitment to transparent, merit-based recruitment practices, supported by modernized systems to enhance service quality.
New recruits will also benefit from comprehensive training through the iGOT Karmayogi platform alongside formal training programmes designed to sharpen their skills and help them excel in their roles.
EPFO extended heartfelt congratulations to the new appointees, reaffirming its dedication to strengthening India's social security architecture and contributing to the country's economic growth.
