Udupi, Mar 31: St Cecily’s English Medium Higher Primary School (CBSE), Udupi, ushered in the joy of this summer with a vibrant Summer Camp for students. Held from March 25 to 29, the camp was a delightful fusion of fun, creativity, and learning. This initiative provided students with a dynamic platform to explore new skills, express their talents, and engage in enriching activities beyond their regular academic curriculum.

The camp commenced with a grand inauguration ceremony, graced by chief guest Lokesh Kidiyoor, a renowned artist and mentor from Master Drama Arts. The school choir set the tone for the vibrant program by invoking God’s blessings for the days ahead. A welcome dance captivated the audience with its grace and energy. Teacher Kannika warmly welcomed the attendees and expressed gratitude to the benefactors who contributed to making this event a reality. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp marked the official beginning of the camp, symbolizing knowledge and enthusiasm.

Over the five days, students from classes 1 to 7 actively participated in a variety of engaging sessions, meticulously curated to nurture talents and broaden horizons. Ujwal’s drawing and painting sessions encouraged students to experiment with colors and express their imagination through art. The dance workshops led by Pooja Gururaj infused an air of joy and rhythm, allowing students to explore different dance forms. Mallika Acharya’s craft classes became a hub of creativity, where students transformed simple materials into stunning pieces of art. Complementing these skill-building activities, Teacher Jyothi conducted an array of fun games and outdoor activities, promoting teamwork, agility, and sportsmanship. Her well-planned games infused an extra dose of excitement into the camp, ensuring that each day was a thrilling experience eagerly awaited by all participants.

The camp provided healthy and scrumptious meals daily. Freshly prepared, nutritious dishes ensured that students enjoyed balanced and wholesome food throughout the camp. Beyond nourishment, these meals instilled in participants the value of healthy eating habits.

The highlight of the camp was the much-anticipated talent show, held on March 29, where students took center stage to showcase their talents in dance, singing, and mono-acting competitions. The remarkable performances left the audience spellbound, highlighting the immense talent within the school community.

At the closing ceremony, winners were honored for their outstanding performances, and appreciation was extended to all participants. Words of gratitude were shared, acknowledging the invaluable contributions of the chief guest, trainers, teachers, non-teaching staff, parents, and students, whose dedication and enthusiasm played a pivotal role in making this camp a phenomenal success.

The Summer Camp 2025 concluded with cherished memories and camp ended on a high note, leaving students inspired and eager for many more such opportunities in the years to come.
