Navsari, Mar 7: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi gears up to address the Lakhpati Didi programme in Gujarat’s Navsari on International Women’s Day, inspiring success stories of women entrepreneurs from the region are coming to light.

Over 34,000 women in Navsari have embraced self-employment through government schemes, transforming into financially independent ‘Lakhpati Didis’ and even millionaires.

Sangeeta Solanki from Shahu village, once struggling with low income from tailoring, took a Mudra loan and set up a Bank Mitra unit at home. Expanding her services to PAN, Aadhaar, and bill payments, she now earns Rs 10,000 per month, thanking the Modi government for her success.

Similarly, Jignasaben Mistry from Moldhara village leveraged the Sakhi Mandali Yojana to turn her passion for artificial jewellery into a thriving business. With government support for raw materials, she now sells her products at exhibitions, earning over Rs 1 lac annually.

These stories reflect the transformative impact of the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, empowering women to become self-reliant role models in their communities.
