Amit Malviya slams Rahul, Akhilesh over silence on Moradabad gangrape case

Daijiworld Media Network – New Delhi

New Delhi, Mar 7: BJP leader Amit Malviya on Friday launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, accusing them of selective outrage over crimes. He dared them to visit Moradabad and meet the Dalit minor victim who was allegedly gang-raped and held captive for two months in Uttar Pradesh.

Targeting Rahul Gandhi, Malviya referred to him as the leader of the ‘new Muslim League’ and alleged that he wouldn't visit the victim’s family because the accused belong to a particular community. He also took a dig at Akhilesh Yadav, calling him a ‘fan of Aurangzeb’ and questioning his silence on the issue.

The horrific case, which surfaced on March 3, has led to the arrest of three accused, including the main perpetrator, according to superintendent of police Kunwar Akash Singh. The FIR filed by the victim alleges forced captivity, threats to her family, and an attempt to erase her Hindu identity.

Malviya demanded a thorough probe into the case and called for strict action against what he described as an ‘evil mentality’ threatening social harmony. Police have assured swift action, stating that efforts are on to apprehend the remaining accused.
