Mangaluru, Jan 26: Merisha Riva Mendonsa of Moodbidri deanery brought honour and pride by securing the III place in the Diocesan Level Konkani Elocution Competition (II Category) on January 19. The competition organised by the Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R), was held at St Rita’s English Medium School, Vittal.

The event witnessed participants from various deaneries showcasing their oratory skills in Konkani reflecting the richness of the language and its cultural significance. Merisha’s remarkable performance stood out earning her this prestigious recognition amidst tough competition.

She was awarded a certificate of honour and a beautifully crafted memento symbolising her outstanding achievement and contribution to promoting Konkani.

This accomplishment not only highlights the talent within the Moodbidri deanery but also inspires young individuals to embrace and excel in their mother tongue.
