Bantwal: Illegal liquor manufacturing unit busted; one atrrested

Bantwal, Dec 18: The excise police team in Bantwal raided a house involved in the illegal production of liquor and seized contraband along with materials used for its manufacture. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning in Panjikallu village.

The raid was conducted at the residence of Rukmaya Poojary in Kambaldadka, Panjikallu village, Bantwal taluk.

The team seized 1.5 liters of illicit liquor, 55 liters of fermented jaggery wash, and other equipment used for brewing illegal liquor.

The operation was led by excise sub-inspector Rajanayak. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
