Puttur: Car collides with highway retainer fence; mother and daughter sustain minor injuries

Puttur, Dec 13: A mother and daughter sustained minor injuries when the car they were traveling in collided with a highway retainer fence at Tenkila on the Puttur Bypass Road late Wednesday night.

The injured have been identified as Belarani (49) and her daughter Aksha L. Patel, residents of a PG accommodation in Mangaluru. They were traveling to Mangaluru via the Mysuru-Madikeri route.

The car lost control, crashed into the aluminium retainer fence on the side of the highway, and overturned into a low-lying area beside the road.

A case has been registered at the Puttur traffic police station.

    Occasional long stretch driving can be tricky at times... High speeds and momentary loss of concentration is enough for any mishap... Luckily they are saved with only minor injuries....
