First phase of shooting for Tulu movie 'Pilipanja' completed

Mangaluru, Dec 6: The first phase of filming for the Tulu movie Pilipanja, produced by Prateek Poojary of Shiyana Production House under the S B Groups banner and directed by young filmmaker Bharat Shetty, has been successfully completed.

The 25-day shoot took place in various locations, including Mudipu, Hu Hakuva Kallu, Varkady, Naringana, and Ira. The film promises to bring a fresh and experimental approach to Costalwood.

The cast features renowned actors such as Ramesh Rai Kukkuvalli, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Sundar Rai Mandara, Ravi Ramakunja, Praveen Kodakkal, Shivaprakash Poonja, Prakash Shetty Dharmanagara, and Prateek Poojary. Other cast members include Rakshan Madoor, Roopashree Varkady, Jayasheela Mangaluru, Vijayahari Rai, Dayananda Rai Bettampady, Ranjan Boloor, debutant Disha Rani, and Bhaskar Manipal.

The cinematography is handled by Uday Ballal, with music composed by Loy Valentine Saldanha. Srinath Pawar has managed editing, while Suresh Shetty directed the action sequences. Co-directors Akshath Vittal and Sajesh Poojary, along with dialogue and screenplay writer Suresh Balmatta, have also contributed to the project. Bala Jagannath Shetty serves as the publicity manager.

The second phase of filming will commence shortly, with the movie scheduled for release in 2025.
