Mangaluru: Trio in car assault Talapady toll gate personnel; one arrested, two at large

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Dec 3: Three men in a car assaulted toll gate personnel at Talapady late on Sunday night. Police have arrested one of the accused, while two remain at large.

A group of five youths traveling from Mangaluru to Kerala in an i20 car with an Uttar Pradesh registration number failed to stop at the Talapady toll gate to pay the toll. When an EGS company staff member managing the toll gate struck the car with his hand to signal them to stop, the occupants became enraged. They exited the vehicle and attacked the staff using objects they could find nearby.

Manu, Sudhama, and Aman, staff members of the toll gate, sustained injuries in the attack and are currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Mangaluru.

The accused have been identified as Zulfan, Nifaan, and Fayaz, all natives of Ullal. The incident was captured on CCTV, and police are conducting further investigations.

FYI, national highways are maintained by central government. Please ask 40% party, and their leaders in the center to abolish tolls. Highways are biggest scam in India. When government understood that there is not enough money to scam from tax money, they came up with highway tolls. Anyone ever calculated how much each highway costs and the figures given by the company is a valid figure? They boost the expense so that they can keep collecting the toll until they show that they have got all their money back. I don't think, ever in life you will stop paying tolls anywhere.

Govt is looting every Indian through these toll gates with the intention to collect tax well beyond the amount it took for its construction. This will be a continuous source of money to govt and all will agree 50% of the tax money goes to politicians and biggest corporates in other forms. Meanwhile public who is being looted is converted to zombies left only to watch these fights and look at the names of these criminals and generalise a community. The more politicians who fool the educated into these petty religious matters, the more easy it becomes to remain in power and loot the public

This is anarchic behavior and it is the direct responsibility of Khader Saab to clear the air... Unless addressed well in time such further incidents can snowball into full scale civil war... Few people looks like well protected even by the government machinery....
