Bantwal: RSS chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat to inaugurate Kalladka sports festival on Dec 7

Bantwal, Dec 2: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat will inaugurate the prestigious ‘Honalu Belakina Kreedotsava’ (Golden light sports festival) at Shri Rama Vidyakendra in Kalladka on December 7.

Dr Prabhakar Bhat, president of Puttur Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha, revealed this at a press conference in Bantwal on Monday, December 2.

Now in its 35th year, the festival will see over 3,300 students, including 20 special-needs students, participating. Sri Rama Vidyakendra, which includes institutions ranging from primary schools to degree colleges, has been focusing on holistic student development, patriotism, and culture for over four decades, he said.

Dr Bhagwat’s visit to Kalladka will mark his first, making this year’s event especially significant. The festival will kick off at 6:30 pm and conclude by 8 pm, followed by a message from Dr Bhagwat.

The press conference was attended by Sri Rama Vidyakendra chairman B Narayana Somayaji, director Vasant Madhav, principal Krishna Prasad Kayarakatte, advocate Prasad Kumar of the Pattabhirama Trust, and governing body members Lakshmi Raghuraj and Akshata Kavuru.

    He is welcome to our land of tuluvas but both of these are hard core fanatic minded persons and having a different mindset altogether when it comes to deal with minorities which is not a welcome sign!
