Mangaluru/Udupi, Dec 2: In light of the heavy rainfall expected due to Cyclone Fengal, the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi wings of District Disaster Management Authority have announced a holiday for all schools and PU colleges in the district on Tuesday ,December 3.

This includes Anganwadis, government, aided, private primary and secondary schools, and Pre-University Colleges up to Class 12. An orange alert has also been sounded in the twin districts as a precautionary measure. All the other colleges and technical institutes will be functional as usual.
