Kannada TV actress Shobhita Shivanna found dead in Hyderabad


Hyderabad, Dec 1 (IANS): Kannada television actress Shobhita Shivanna was found dead at her residence in Hyderabad under suspicious circumstances on Sunday.

The 29-year-old was found hanging from the ceiling of the apartment she was residing in Sriram Nagar Colony, Gachibowli.

After receiving information from the neighbours, police rushed to the apartment and found her hanging.

Police shifted her mortal remains to the government-run Osmania General Hospital for autopsy.

Shobhita was known for her roles in the television serials ‘Brahmagantu’ and ‘Ninidale’. She had also acted in a few films.

Hailing from Sakleshpura in Karnataka's Hassan district, the actress got married last year. She had been staying away from the entertainment industry after the marriage and was staying in Hyderabad with her husband Sudheer.

The reasons for Shobhita’s alleged suicide were not known. Gachibowli police registered a case and took up an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

Police were recording statements from her family, friends, and neighbours as part of the investigation.

Shobhita's mortal remains will be transported to Bengaluru where her family resides.

    @ Prakash, Mulki/Kulai " we can lead very peaceful life. I am having ganji uppad even toda Prakash, Bro, What is the corelation between ganji uppad & peaceful life ? I taste all types of meat, Fish, veggies, Alcohol, Music, ...................(No flirting cause I passed that age) Still I do not find any cause to disturb my peace of mind.

    Glamour & glitter in film industry is not guaranteed for a long time, one needs to maintain or struggle to keep up the standard. In the present Filmy line new entries are pouring in like there is no scope for anything other than acting. Demand is not sustainable, then starts dejection and stress being without work.

    all show industries of modelling, acting are extremely dangerous as the careers are very short...if the person does not plan properly in finance and personal life he or she is bound to end life in a tragic manner like this..RIP..it is better to lead ganji uppad and peaceful life than have biriyani for some days and then hang

    Sad to hear so young actress died.Who knows she died of her own or someone hanged her?Nowadays one never know what and who.May her soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to her family.Hope more details will be given out soon.
