Kasargod, Nov 21: A shocking incident unfolded in Kannur's Karivellur on Thursday, November 21 evening when a policewoman was fatally stabbed by her husband.

The victim, Divyashree (35), who was serving at Chandera police station in Kasargod, succumbed to injuries inflicted by her husband Rajesh, who is currently absconding.

Divyashree sustained severe injuries during the attack and was rushed to a private hospital in Payyannur. Despite efforts to save her, she could not survive.

It is reported that Divyashree and Rajesh, an auto-rickshaw driver, had marital discord and had been living separately for some time. On Thursday evening, Rajesh allegedly attacked her with a machete, causing serious injuries to her face and neck. Divyashree’s father, Vasu, who tried to intervene, also sustained injuries.

Hearing the commotion, neighbors rushed to the scene, but Rajesh had already fled. Payyannur police have initiated an investigation.

Divyashree’s body has been kept at the Kannur Medical College mortuary for postmortem.

Feel very sad. When someone has problem with partner ,then just clear with normal talk need not use weapons.Or simply divorce and find a better one.Now no escape from Police and strict rules. Will be caught one or other day.May her soul rest in peace.Do they have children ?Then it is very sad.
