Glad supremacy of Parliament Hailed, Says Sharad Pawar

New Delhi, Dec 12 (IANS): Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar Monday said while he did not get an invite, it was good that the supremacy of parliament was hailed during the Lokpal debate at Jantar Mantar during Team Anna rally.

"Good that all political parties at Jantar Mantar emphasised the importance of parliament. We cannot overlook parliament," Pawar told reporters.

"There are many discussions, seminars, some in open, some in close, it does not make a difference," he said.

"They said they had sent the invite to my office, I did not get it but it's ok, parliament will debate it. Our party has this line that we want a strong Lokpal bill, and we will present this point in the meeting with the prime minister," Pawar said.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has called a meeting of government allies Tuesday.

    Yes Mr. Pawar, your brain cells have long dead and gone over the years, and no thinking power is left, and so, as Marian suggested, it`s time for you to quit your political line and further aspirations, and make way for injection of some young and fresh blood (of course, this also goes for so many other old and mundane politicians as well). Mr. Pawar, you had a long innings and done your job, whatever worth that has been, if at all, and you should now relax and enjoy your life, whatever left, pursuing your other interests and hobbies.

    My countryman, please look at this man, do you think he is capable of to be minister. why can't he resign & make way for some good young candidate to be a law maker. He is only stick to his power without any power within himself.
