Bantwal, Dec 12: The sports festival organized on the night of Sunday December 11 by Srirama Vidya Kendra, Kalladka in the taluk, brought before the audience a magical world. Various items, which were presented by over 2,000 students of the Kendra beautifully under flood light, made the viewers believe, albeit temporarily, that they were living in a dream world.
The skills exhibited by the students in adventure sports provided an exhilarating experience. In addition to dances by small children, items like Jade Kotata, Niyuddha, Deeparati, Malla Kambha, dancing Bhajans, Yogasana, Yakshagana dance drama, Koopika Samatolana, Yoga Chapa, dance on pitcher, balancing on single wheel and double wheels, pyrotechnics and several other items presented on the occasion provided ample evidence to the extent of fine skills acquired by the students at the school.
Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister, Krishna J Palemar, zilla panchayat president, Shyalaja Bhat, Mangalore City mayor, Pravin, convener of the institution, Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, president, Narayana Somayaji, and several other dignitaries were present.
