Mumbai, Dec 8 (IANS): An international boxing match is scheduled to be held at a Mumbai mall Friday, an organiser said.

Inorbit Mall in the Malad area of northwest Mumbai would host the bout as part of a team event under the World Series of Boxing (WSB), an organiser said here Thursday.

Boxers from Indian team Venky's Mumbai Fighters would battle it out against LA Matadors in their fourth match for the WSB 2011/12 season at the T-Box Mobile Arena of the mall. Tickets for the event were available on the website 'bookmyshow.com'.

"It has been our constant endeavour to bring to our patrons a unique experience each time they visit Inorbit Mall. Our association with Mumbai Fighters this year will bring to our patrons an opportunity to witness semi-professional boxing bouts of global standards at our mall," said Kishore Bhatija, CEO, Inorbit Malls.

Venky's Mumbai Fighters, the only Indian team in the WSB, had in October roped in star boxer and Arjuna Award winner Akhil Kumar.

WSB is being organised by TransStadia Boxing, a subsidiary of SE TransStadia Pvt. Ltd.
