Udupi: Police raid on prostitution, late-night hotel operations; warns hoteliers

Udupi, Oct 25: Police conducted a night operation following public complaints about rampant prostitution in the city and hotels staying open beyond stipulated hours.

The primary areas raided included the old KSRTC bus stand, NARM bus station, and city and service bus stands. People present without valid reasons were asked to vacate the premises, and hotel operators were warned about staying open beyond permitted hours.

The operation was led by city police station inspector Sridhar Satare.
