Mangalore: Curtains Down on St Agnes College Fest 'Sustantivo 2011'

Mangalore, Nov 29: 'Sustantivo 2011', a two-day national-level inter-collegiate fest hosted by St Agnes College, came to a colourful end here on Tuesday November 29.
Kavitha Shastri, principal, Mahajan Gujarathi English School and former teacher of St Agnes School, was the chief guest. She said that the competitive spirit of the participants who have come from Karnataka and outside was appreciable.
Adding further, she said that the learning atmosphere in St Agnes institutions was experienced by her as she was a beneficiary of the value-based education offered there. She called upon the contestants to sustain the same competitive spirit.
Earlier, a band welcomed the chief guest and others. Shastri distributed prizes for the best managers of the three faculties. She also distributed the overall championship trophy to Canara College. SDM Law College, Mangalore, were the runners-up.
Sr Maria Kripa, the Sister Superior, distributed prizes to the arts faculty. Sr Supriya, vice principal, distributed the prizes for commerce and management and Sr Prem D’Souza, principal, distributed prizes to the science faculty.
Deeksha and group sang the prayer song. Shubharekha welcomed the gathering. Shashwathi Jain and group performed the welcome dance.
