Udupi: Lone tusker wreaks havoc on crops in Hebri

Udupi, Sep 29: A wild elephant was spotted in the residential area of Chara near Hebri on September 27 in the night, causing significant damage to local farmlands.

The lone tusker extensively damaged plantain and arecanut trees on the farms of Sheena Poojary and Venkatesha Prabhu.

Just two days earlier, the same elephant had been sighted in the Kucchur area, raising concerns about its impact on nearby agriculture.
