Bantwal: KSRTC bus overturns; passengers escape with minor injuries

Bantwal, Sep 23: A KSRTC bus traveling between Mangaluru and Dharmasthala overturned after the driver lost control and fell into a roadside ditch near Koppal, close to Vagga, on Monday, September 23 evening.

Passengers sustained minor injuries in the accident.

Local youths assisted in rescuing the passengers from the bus.

The bus belonged to the Mangaluru division, but the exact cause of the accident remains unclear.

    Poor maintenance is also one of the cause. The Tyre is too old just i saw some pictures but as usual blame goes to poor driver.

    Everyone knows the exact reason why such incidents happen with KSRTC. The was the drivers drive in the bends, it is an open invitation for disaster. The KSRTC authorities need an iron will to tame the erring drivers with a hefty fine and imprisonment.

    The road from Mangalore to Chikmagalur is not a road. Do not know why BJP is not blaming Congress Or why Congress is not blaming BJP.
