Bangalore: Yet Another BJP MLA in Land Scam

Bangalore, Nov 15: With several ministers led by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa and several BJP legislators embroiled in land scams and other charges of corruption, it is now the turn of yet another BJP MLA Nehru Olekar, who represents Haveri, to be dragged into the muck of land scam.

Haveri district Lokayukta Special Court Judge K C Ramakrishnaiah on Tuesday ordered the Davangere Lokayukta police to investigate a private complaint on the alleged grabbing of lands for two educational institutions run by his relatives in the district violating rules.

The Lokayukta Special Court directed the Lokayukta police to submit its report by December 20.

The private complainant had alleged that the BJP MLA had allegedly misused his position as an MLA from the ruling party to secure 23 guntas of land to the Dr Bhimarao Ambedkar Educational Society, which has his son Manjunath as Secretary, and 19 guntas of land to the Ramabai Ambedkar Educational Society run by his daughter Lakshmi.

Both the plots of land were allotted by the Haveri Urban Development Auhority and the complainant has named Chairman and Commissioner of Haveri Urban Development Authority as co-accused.

It may be recalled that former chief minister Yeddyurpapa, home and transport minister R Ashoka, large and medium industries minister Murugesh Nirani, former ministers S N Krishnaiah Setty and Katta Subramanya Naidu are already facing court cases in connection with irregularities in land allotment. There are allegations against former minister V Somanna and MLA Dr Hemachandra Sagar along with allegations against Medical Education Minister S A Ramadas.

No need any basic education,just sharp your tongue in both ways, i.e. right and left.You will be a crore pathi within a small time,by hook or crook.A land business is a added advantage in all the ways.What a pity we Voters please.

Like foolish people u guys voted congress at centre. Now u guys are repeating the same blindly voting corrupt BJP. After another 50 yrs you will say BJP looted our state and Yeddys family is the most corrupt family in state. If you can digest read my comments.     Mr Mahendra Shetty Mumbai,yes of course Congress did rule 60 years but compared to Yeddy's short span in the power,he, not only made unprecedented wealth and allowed his comrades to loot Karnataka even if our NELA(portion Bellary)sold to A.Pradesh.

    Mr Mahendra, I draw your attention that J.Reddy used gold in his toilet!His royal chair,cot .....are all in golds!! He even overtook shieks of gulf in enjoying royal life. Nevertheless to say, he used to come to lunch from Bangalore to Bellary by Copter!!!My simple question for you is (SANGHPARIWAR)you people saying "BHARATH MAATHA KI"and LOOTO.....is it fair?By the by 2G loss was around 2500 Crores not as reported 1.75 Lakh crore as per statement made in front of JPC by concerned.Mr J.N Lobo Mumbai correctly gave you answer and please spare some time.By the by MM.Joshi, PAC, Chairman did call CAG office to influence in favor of BJP!

The criminals in CAG who acted to destabilize the country by inflating the 2G scam from Rs 2600 cr. to Rs 1,76,000 cr. at the behest of main opposition party (BJP) to be prosecuted immediately. M M Joshi the culprit to be thrown into prison for the rest of his life .First he wrote to ministry that licenses should not be auctioned and now it is clear that he pressurised the authority to pressurise his subordinate to give wrong loss figure. Is Vinod Rai, who gave the mind blogging inflated figure wants to become another T.N.Chaturvedhi- who after CAG post became BJP MP and later Governor?

    Yedd was big thief and he allowed his BJP MLAs to grab the land wherever possible.It is quite natural if top man is corrupt then bottom also corrupt.One thing is clear that BJP party never intervened nor advised GOOD GOVERNANCE AND ACCOUNTABILITY to it's cadre in Karnataka.It is irony that BJP still not thinking of terminating of present corrupt Govt and look for fresh mandate.There could be more ministers and MLAs of BJP may involved in such kind of Land grabbing.
