Udupi, Aug 19: “Organisational Behaviour for Building Managers,” authored by Professor Diana Saldanha, a book for management students was released on August 2, 2024, in Poornaprajna Institute of Management (PIM). The event marked a historic milestone as it is the first textbook authored by a PIM faculty member to be published in print under Poornaprajna Publications.

The release ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed guests Dr P S Aithal, director of Poornaprajna Institute of Management, and Shree Harsha Upadhya, CEO of Les Saveurs, who officially launched the book. This momentous occasion was a proud moment for the entire PIM community, highlighting their commitment to academic excellence and knowledge dissemination.

Professor Diana Saldanha, the author, is an accomplished academic with a B.Sc, B.Ed, MBA, NET in Management (JRF, K-SET), and currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Mangalore University. She serves as an assistant professor at PIM and has over a decade of teaching experience in finance and human resource management. Her research interests are focused on behavioural finance, entrepreneurship, and work-life balance, with her work being published in UGC CARE, Scopus, and Web of Science Indexed Journals.

“Organisational Behaviour for Building Managers” is designed to provide management students with a comprehensive understanding of organizational behaviour. The book is meticulously aligned with the updated syllabus prescribed by Mangalore University and features engaging multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and descriptive questions at the end of each module. These are aimed at assessing the students’ grasp of the material. The inclusion of relevant case studies ensures that students can relate theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios, enhancing their learning experience.

During the release, Professor Saldanha expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported her journey. She particularly thanked the director of PIM Dr P S Aithal, staff, and students of PIM, whose encouragement and support were instrumental in her achievement.

Dr P S Aithal, director of Poornaprajna Institute of Management, congratulated Prof Saldanha on her new book and conveyed his best wishes on the occasion. He expressed that this new publication not only enriches the academic resources available to PIM students but also showcases the institution’s dedication to fostering academic growth and research.
