Kundapur: Sri Mookambika Women Mandali holds Varamahalaxmi Pooja

Kundapur, Aug 16: The federation of Sri Mookambika Mahila Mandalis organized the Varamahalaxmi Pooja at their auditorium, where several achievers were felicitated.

Speaking on the occasion, Kundapur MLA Kiran Kumar Kodgi praised the social work of Radha Das, who is known for her prompt assistance to women in distress. He remarked, "It is meaningful to recognize social achievers on the occasion of Vara Mahalaxmi Pooja."

The program was inaugurated by lawyer Ravikiran Murdeshwar, who highlighted the increasing devotion with which Vara Mahalaxmi Pooja is celebrated each year.

Among the felicitated achievers were senior lawyer A S N Hebbar, former Rotary Club assistant governor Sudhakar Shetty Avarse, Revati Tekkatte, supervisor of the SLRM Tekkatte unit and vehicle driver, and state award-winning Anganwadi worker Archana.

Radha Das presided over the function. Other notable attendees included Kundapur CDPO Umesh, education officer Shobha Shetty, Rotary Midtown president Shekhar N Shetty, social worker Subbanna Shetty, retired headmistress Shashikala Bijoor, Kumbashi PDO Jayaram Shetty, Anganwadi union district president Philomena, and district secretary of Stree Shakti Sangha Prema.

Radha Das extended a warm welcome to all present. S G Prasanna Aithal, principal of Kundapur Rural Ayurveda Medical College, delivered the vote of thanks.
