Udupi, Aug 9: The Sanatana Hindu Dharma Rakshana Vedike has submitted an appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the Udupi deputy commissioner, urging immediate intervention to stop the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh. These atrocities include violence, murder, rape, and the demolition of Hindu temples.
Leaders of the Vedike stated, “The Union government must intervene urgently to prevent the atrocities being committed against Hindus in Bangladesh. In accordance with the amendment to the Citizenship Act, minority and helpless Hindus living in Bangladesh should be brought to India and rehabilitated. The presence of Rohingya Muslims trespassing into India could pose a danger to the country. India is the only Hindu-majority nation in the world, and to preserve it and protect our mothers and sisters from the communal atrocities of Bangladeshi Muslims, the Union government must act promptly. It was elected by the votes of the majority Hindus in the country.”
Leaders Mohan Bhat, Geekesh, Kumaraswamy, Sudhir Poojary, Sridhar Bijoor, Naveen Kodgi, Rajgopal, Sandeep, and others were present.
