Dubai: Narayana Shabaraya's ‘Yaksha Sangeetha Naada Vaibhava’ on Nov 6

Media Release

Dubai, Nov 3:  Narayana Shabaraya, well-known yakshagana bhagavath will present a unique programme ‘Yaksha Sangeetha Naada Vaibhava’ which will show case the different variants of Yakshagana Bhagavatike.

The programme will be held at Fortune Plaza Hotel’s ball room at Al Ghusais, here on Sunday November 6 at 6 pm.

Yakshagana has two variants - Tenkutittu and Badagutittu. Within Badagutittu, there are two branches, Badagu and Badabadagu. In addition, there are more styles and disciplines within these Tittu variations which make the whole of Yakshagana singing so diverse that it is impossible for someone to present them in the normal Yakshagana stage shows.

Visualizing this, Shabaraya has developed his own way of presenting the yakshagana singing in its full diversity of patterns and rich fabric that the audience will enjoy the broad possibilities and richness in its literature and singing through the raga, taala, and bhaava.

Yaksha Sangeetha Naada Vaibhava Trust Udupi has been arranging similar programmes all over Karnataka. The programme is presented here by Dubai Express Exchange in Co- operation with Yaksha Mitraru, Dubai who has pioneered yakshagana programmes in Dubai.

Shabaraya is a well-known Bhagavath with more than three decades of dedicated service experience in different yakshagana troupes. All fans are cordially invited by the organizers.
