Udupi: Daijiworld Photojournalist Hemanath Padubidri Bags District Rajyotsava Award

Udupi, Oct 30: Daijiworld photojournalist Hemanath Padubidri has been chosen for the presitigious district Rajyotsava Award for photography.
Hemanath is an ace photographer and has won several district, state and national recognitions for his photography.

He was the winner of sixth All India Photo Competition held at Kollam, Kerala, besides bagging several other prizes at state and national-level photography contests.
The other recipients of the award are K Rajgopal Shet (art), Vilas Kumar Nitte (Tulu literature/journalism), Bogra Sherigar (Nagaswara), Prakash Kharvi (sports), Raghavendra Kote (stage artiste), Sheela K Shetty Yermal, Yakshagana Kalaranga Admar (Yakshagana), Manisha B D’Souza (badminton), Ramesh Kidiyoor (folk art), Pundalika Nayak (photography), Bharathi Gopal (music), Sadashiva Shetty Vaddarse (rural development), Nagaraj Kharvi, Rajesh Prabhu (social work), K Krishna Kulal (organic farming), Dr K Krishna Prasad (eye dontation campaign), Dinesh Acharya (architecture) and Venkataramana Kamath (artist).
The awards will be presented on the occasion of Karnataka Rajyotsava on November 1 at a function to be held at Mahatma Gandhi stadium in Ajjarkad.
