Mangalore, Oct 26: Two persons, said to be residents of the city, were taken into custody by the policemen of Hyderabad, on Wednesday, Oct 26 morning.
They have been identified as Antony and Dheeraj. It is said that they were in possession of 350 sachets of drugs when they were taken into custody.
The value of the drugs so seized from their possession is estimated to be worth over a crore of rupees. The arrested men have admitted to their guilt, the policemen said. It is gathered that the peddlers told the policemen that they had brought the consignment of drugs from Mangalore, and that they have already sold drugs worth about a crore rupees in Hyderabad. Reportedly, they have revealed to the policemen that the drug was imported from Netherlands, and their main clients are some film artistes and executives of companies. The policemen believe that they are members of a well-organized inter-state drug cartel, which has been in operation in the country since the last many years.
