Ajman, Oct 25: For the second consecutive time Thumbay Moideen – Founder President of Thumbay Group, U.A.E., was listed in the “Power List India 2011” compiled by Arabian Business Power List in which 100 most powerful Indians living in the Gulf region have been encompassed. Moideen ranks within the ten powerful Indians from the South of India and the only one from Mangalore, Karnataka.
Thumbay Moideen who has been listed in “Power List India 2011” is the Founder President of Thumbay Group, U.A.E. established in the year 1998 has ventured into various business activities like timber, real estate, medical education, information technology, hospitality and the latest being establishing a chain of medical centers and pharmacies in and around U.A.E with a vision to be a leader in the field of health care.
Thumbay Moideen with great conviction, courage and confidence has established the first private medical university in UAE known as Gulf Medical University-Ajman, GMC Hospital & Research Centre, Ajman and Fujairah, Gulf Medical and Dental Specialty Centres and GMC Pharmacies in Dubai and Sharjah. The Group also owns and runs an international chain of Health Clubs and Coffee Shoppes in UAE known as Body & Soul Health Club & Spa and Blends and Brews Coffee Shoppes respectively.
As a true leader Thumbay Moideen has infused dedication, discipline and hard work at all levels of his organization. Thumbay Moideen is also the recipient of ‘Best Achievement Award in the field of Medical Education & Healthcare’ from H.H. Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of U.A.E. Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, UAE.
Moideen was awarded for his ‘Contributions to Medical Education’ at a grand ceremony at the House of Lords, London by Lord Adam Patel. He is also the recipient of the award for 'Achievements in the field of Medical Education & Healthcare' by Karnataka Sangha, Sharjah .
The Power List India 2011 also shows that Indians are playing a vital role in boardrooms of both International and local banking and retail sectors operating in the region. But, if anything, the Arabian Business Power List shows just how far the Indian diaspora has become enmeshed in Gulf Society with the region’s 2.5 million expatriates working in every sector imaginable.
