Abu Dhabi, Oct 21 (IANS/WAM): The UAE will host Gulf Financial and Economic Integration Forum Sunday to highlight the various opportunities and challenges for creating a strong Gulf Common Market (GCM)
It will be held at the Emirates Palace under the aegis of the Ministry of Finance.
A number of experts in the area of financial and economic blocs are expected to participate in the forum to discuss various economic opportunities and challenges for the GCC region.
Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, minister of state for financial affairs, said: "UAE will be hosting the Gulf Financial and Economic Integration Forum in line with its commitment to achieving financial and economic integration among GCC states. The forum will highlight the various opportunities and challenges present for the creation of a strong Gulf Common Market (GCM), which is able to compete globally, where attendees will hold discussions on how to best address these issues."
