Mangalore: Finance Company Accused of Defrauding Investor

Mangalore, Oct 18: A complaint of fraud and cheating was filed at Bunder police station here, against persons named Roshan Robert, James, and their agent, Sanjay. As per the complaint, the trio, who were running a finance company, lured the complainant to invest Rs 35 lac with them, but failed to repay the amount as promised.

K Shivaram Naik, resident of Kudupu Kulshekhar, has said in his complaint, that the three had their office in the third floor of City Light building in Balmatta here.

He says that the persons had promised to double his investment amount within a period of ten months. Reposing trust on their promises, he says, he deposited Rs 35 lac in two schemes titled Uni Pay and Uni Gold.

Naik says that the owners of the company totally remitted a sum of three lac rupees to his savings bank account, and cheated him without paying the balance amount due to him as per their promises.

Sanjay, who has been named in the complaint, is the husband of a woman police constable.
